For William Raveis, it’s all in the family. Alongside his two sons, the Chairman and CEO of William Raveis Real Estate, Mortgages and Insurance has big plans for the future of the business he hopes will one day be run by his grandchildren. As the real estate industry undergoes drastic changes and increasingly becomes a financial industry, thanks to the growing involvement of Wall Street, Raveis says that to be successful you “have to have depth, you have to have size and you have to have the financial resources. something to change.

With his business expansion plans and recent announcements, that is exactly what he is doing.

The private, family-owned business offers real estate, mortgage, insurance, title and legal services under one roof, creating a seamless end-to-end customer experience. WRRE streamlines the home buying experience by being able to offer competitive mortgage rates and competitive, quality home and auto insurance coverage. the two sons of Raveis, Chris and Ryan are both co-presidents of the company. Ryan runs William Raveis Mortgage and Chris runs residential sales.

In April, the company announced the launch of Raveis Purchase to help sellers who want to sell and buy in a hurry. With Raveis Purchase, WRRE will buy a client’s home for an upfront payment of up to 80% of the current value, which will allow them to quickly unlock the equity in their home, so they can make an offer. secure and unconditional on their next home, which WRRE will also help them buy, finance and insure. Once the seller’s house is empty, the company will take care of the necessary renovations and prepare it for sale before listing it.

“We’re the first in the country to do this,” Raveis told Boston Agent Magazine.

In addition, the new Raveis CashBid program allows buyers to make cash offers, giving them an edge in today’s competitive market. Under the program, WRRE purchases a home on behalf of the client using its own cash, a valuable tool in situations where the seller wants to act quickly.

In August, WRRE acquired Key Solutions Real Estate, based in Sarasota, Florida, a luxury, family-owned brokerage with 44 associates. The addition of two offices in Sarasota brought the total number of William Raveis offices in Florida to 14. Since opening its Naples office in 2016 and expanding to Palm Beach in 2018, the company is on track to achieve more than $ 3 billion in sales in the State of the Shining Sun. The acquisition expanded William Raveis’ network from areas in the northeast including Nantucket, Wellesley, Greenwich, Westchester and Manhattan.

And that’s just the beginning.

“As you grow, you have the opportunity to offer all of these services that no one else has so far under one roof,” said Raveis. “We now have the competitive edge, and we’re taking advantage of that competitive edge in the areas that people from the northeast go to – Vero Beach, Jupiter, Sarasota, and we have more announcements coming up. We’re very, very active right now, and the reason is that we have a competitive advantage that no one else has. “

As Raveis seeks to expand his company’s footprint, “family” comes to the fore. It’s a niche for a family business to turn into another family business, he says.

“We now have our footprint on the east coast of America from Maine to Miami, and that includes South Carolina and Georgia,” he said. “We have the opportunity to partner with these people who may not have the means to survive, but who are a very good family business and who work very hard. We see ourselves as a vehicle to help them keep doing what they do.

Culture is very important to Raveis, which treats its agents like customers and helps them grow their business.

What we do is give them the freedom to be who they want to be, ”said Raveis. “We let them be entrepreneurs. We are not the ones telling them that they have to fit into this box. Our job is to help agents be entrepreneurs, which sets us apart from others. There is no one in the Northeast like us… we are looking for opportunities now and will continue to look for opportunities.

When asked when he plans to complete his business expansion, Raveis replied that it wasn’t anytime soon.

“Picasso painted until his death,” he said. “I have my brush in my hand called real estate and I paint the landscape. I die with my brush in my hand.
