South Florida real estate mogul teams up with influencer to donate sneakers to kids – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

MIAMI (WSVN) – A generous donor has become the “one-stop-shop” for a group of lucky children. A charity provides some of the most fashionable sneakers to certain children.

It was a surprise surprise for some South Florida kids on Wednesday.

Real estate mogul Patrick Carroll has teamed up with influencer Ben Kickz to fill a Brinks truck with more than $100,000 worth of shoes for the kids at the Boys & Girls Club of Miami-Dade.

“When I was a kid, you know, having Jordans or some of the coolest shoes on the market, that was a good thing and it creates a lot of pride,” Carrol said.

“How awesome for him to come back here and give the kids here over 600 sneakers. That’s over $100,000 in sneakers,” said Alex Rodriguez-Roig, president of the Boys & Girls Club of Miami- Dad.

Carroll has enlisted the help of the “Below Deck” star and South Florida resident Captain Lee, as well as Phaedra Parks of Bravo’s “Real Housewives.”

We’re not just talking about an average pair of shoes. They are among the most sought after sneakers.

“Honestly it’s one of the best things they could have done, like wow. They’ve had events but this one is the biggest,” said one teenage girl.

Box after box, smile after smile, the excitement of a new pair of shoes and with it a message to dream big.

“Entrepreneurship, you know, it doesn’t have to be the same format for everyone,” Carrol said.
