Real Estate Summary Week Ending August 26, 2022

The Greater Greenville Realtors Association announced a 16% increase in active residential listings – from 3,147 in the multiple listings service on August 10, 2021 to 3,651 on August 10, 2022.

With the number of listings on the rise, the average residential sale price also increased by 10.5%, from $415,385 in 2021 to $458,983 in 2022, and median residential sale prices increased by 13, 4%, from $299,900 to $340,000.

Average days on market increased by 1.7% from 57 to 58.

GGAR also reported that 1,244 homes were awaiting sale and 1,209 units were under emergency contract as of August 10.

Joan Herlong & Associates Sotheby’s International Realty Honors Best Agents of the Month for July

Joan Herlong & Associates Sotheby’s International Realty has announced its top agents for July.

They are:

  • Pat McNamara
  • Charee McConchie
  • Diane Bostrom

In the Greenville office, McNamara and McConchie had the most ads sold, and Furman and Young were the top sales agents that month, while Bostrom was the top sales agent and had the most ads sold in Clemson in July.

Redfin reports over 18% increase in median home price in South Carolina

red fin announced an 18.3% increase in the median home price in South Carolina to $371,900 in June 2022.

While the median home price is on the rise, the average number of homes is down 14.6% from June 2021, and the number of homes sold has fallen from 8,863 in 2021 to 7,578 in 2022.

Median days on market also fell from 49 in 2021 to 39 in 2022.
