Leading Real Estate Player Joins Keller Williams Realty’s Lambros Group | New
Real estate has always been of interest to Beth Murphy, the newest member of the Lambros group of the Marco Island office of Keller Williams Realty.
A resident of Marco Island with over 30 years of experience in the real estate industry on the island, Murphy is the Certified Executive Assistant of the Lambros Group. In this role, Murphy is the team’s transaction coordinator and also enjoys working with clients as an agent.
“Once a member of our team gets a new listing or contracts a property, Beth takes care of it from start to finish,” said Kristina Lambros, Senior Agent at Lambros Group. “She works on the back-end issues that lead to a case being closed. She’s the one who works with the title company, puts buyers in touch with insurance companies, service people, lenders, etc. If there are any issues along the way, Beth is the one to pull it all together and do whatever is needed to get the job done. “
Much of Murphy’s experience in the business took place on Marco, where she lived for three decades.
“I’ve been here for so many years, I feel like it’s in my blood,” Murphy said. “My mom and dad bought and sold real estate and invested for many years when I was a kid. So I kind of always followed in their footsteps and tried to invest in real estate myself.
She has a multifaceted experience in the company, which became not only a passion, but her profession, after university. Raised in Rockland County, a New York suburb, Murphy received a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Stockton University in New Jersey. Immediately after graduation, she became a licensed real estate agent in that state.
Murphy started his career as a buyers agent, while also working for a real estate lawyer. These jobs provided invaluable experience on both the sales side and the coordination of business transactions.
After her parents, Marvin and Harriet Moskowitz, moved to Marco in 1984, Beth followed suit, settling here in 1991 and becoming manager of a local real estate office. During her stay, she helped builders with new construction projects. Murphy went on to become a closing agent, before moving on to operating a boutique, the Marco Island securities firm, ultimately purchased by Marco Craig Woodward-based real estate attorney, owner of First Title and Abstract, Inc.
During his 11 years there, Murphy facilitated thousands of transactions, turning First Title and Abstract, Inc. into a Marco Island powerhouse. She brings to the Lambros group the high-level expertise and the keen sense of customer service that she has acquired over the years.
Murphy cited several reasons for joining The Lambros Group, including principal Kristina Lambros herself.
“She and I met and clicked eight years ago,” Murphy recalls. “She became a family and that’s all she wrote.”
Lambros said their friendship, along with Murphy’s impressive skills and local connections, make her an invaluable addition.
“My team is made up of family members, so for me to add someone, that indicates a high level of trust,” she added. “Before joining the team, she was the title agent to whom I sent a lot of business and recommended to my clients. So being able to have someone with their experience and knowledge of the real estate industry join the team is a big plus and win.
Murphy describes herself as a workaholic, but in her case, that’s not negative; she loves the job as well as life on Marco.
“Since I moved here 30 years ago, it’s been a working holiday,” she said. “We live in paradise. When crossing the bridge, that feeling has not changed, even after 30 years.
When not working, Murphy enjoys exercising and spending time with family and friends, including longtime partner John. Her daughter, Jillian, and son-in-law, Travis Delk, live in the Orlando area with their sons, JT, four and a half, and Logan, one and a half. She also enjoys cooking, especially new dishes.
“Italian, American, give a recipe and I’ll cook it,” Murphy said. “I like to play with new recipes.”
