Barclays hires trader JPMorgan Albery to lead real estate



Barclays has hired a senior trader from JPMorgan to lead its real estate investment banking unit in Europe.

The British lender has appointed Bronson Albery as the head of the real estate investment bank for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, according to a statement from the bank.

He is expected to join us in August and will report to Rick Landgarten, global head of healthcare and real estate banking, and Reid Marsh, head of banking services for Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific.

Albery is a 22 year veteran of JPMorgan, joining its M&A division as a partner. He has headed the UK real estate investment banking unit since 2016.

Barclays real estate investment banking team has been led by Will Thompson for 18 months. He will now focus on leading his health counseling unit. Peter Struempel will move from London to Frankfurt to run his German real estate franchise.

Barclays have added to their list of senior negotiators in recent weeks. On June 24, she appointed former Morgan Stanley banker Tobias Ã…kermark as head of the Nordic bank and managing director of its Swedish operations.
